Tomahawks, Fire building and lashings....That is what we did July 2nd We had 30+ scouts in attendance. The scouts practiced their tomahawk throwing skills, had a fire building game which involved building a fire and burning a string. Some scouts worked on advancement, practiced lashing skills, and of course we had Smores! 

Lake Allatoona "Back To Basics" Campout was a Big Success. The scouts worked on advancement, knot tying, aquatic requirements, fire building, service project and of course enjoyed tubing on the lake. Check the calendar for the next exciting adventure planned for T2019. 

Summer Camp FINAL PAYMENT IS DUE!!!!!  Please check with Mrs. Bailey our Committee Chair and Summer camp leader to see how much you owe.  Each scout will need a footlocker for summer camp. Walmart has them on-line and they can be shipped directly to a store, Start looking now. @ size is 32 x17 x 14. Plastic works best but that is up to you. If you want you can lock it  while you are off working on merit badges and having fun at camp.That is up to each scout. Most of my scouts do not lock their lockers while out of camp. See Mr. Stadler if you have questions. Wheels are an option but not mandatory. As we get closer to camp, Mrs. Bailey and Mr. Stadler will send out a detailed packing list.Link below gives you one of many ideas for a good locker while staying on a budget.  

Chemistry Merit Badge clinic for T2019 Scouts. To be held at the church. Here are the details. Follow up with Mrs. Hoffman if you are interested or have questions. noihoffman@gmail.com Who is interested in a Two day class for Chemistry MB? July10th  (10am-4pm) July22nd (10am-4pm) July 29th (only for those who miss one of the class) Make up day on July 29 Those who miss July 10th, come at 10-12noon and for July 22nd come at 1-3pm Please have the scout pick up blue card on Tuesday and sign up with Noi Hoffman. We  need to have the names by Tuesday, July 2nd so we can see how many scouts want to attend.  Scout need to bring their own lunchbox on both days

Medical forms for Summer camp are due!!!! Each scout needs to make sure they have Part A, B and C done this month. Part C requires a visit to a doctor...that can be your peditrician or one of the local drug stores that offers the "minute clinic" See Mr. Stadler or Mrs. Bailey with questions.

Need your patches from the Court of Honor sewn on? Bring your Class A shirt to the next troop meeting. Put the patches you want sewn on in the front pocket. Mrs. Schmidt will be there with her sewing machine and can get you "set up and looking sharp" Thanks in advance Mrs Schmidt. We appreciate what you are doing for our scouts. 

Scouts can wear Class B (Troop T-shirts with scout shorts, belt and socks) unless going for Scoutmaster Conference or Board of Review. Bring your Class A shirt and your newly earned patches so Mrs. Schmidt can sew them on for you during the meeting. Put the patches you want sewn on in a front pocket of the shirt.
